Description
Claire Forde is an Advanced Occupational Therapy Practitioner at the Northern Ireland Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre in Belfast. She has a broad clinical background across community, intermediate care and acute Oncology/Haematology services. In 2020 she moved into her current position within Haemophilia Services.
Claire provides expert Occupational Therapy support for both children and adult services, focusing on functional independence, meaningful activity, symptom management, and quality of life. She is a committed advocate for patient-centred care and the vital role of Occupational Therapy within specialist multidisciplinary teams.
She has led and contributed to several quality improvement initiatives within the Haemophilia department in Belfast and is currently heading a Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) project exploring the educational needs of ageing patients with bleeding disorders. Claire’s work reflects a strong commitment to service development, collaborative practice, and empowering patients through holistic, tailored support.
