Description
Marie Eales is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Paediatric Haemostasis at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, a post she has enjoyed since 2015. She qualified in 2003 with a BA (Hons) in Nursing Studies from Sheffield Hallam University and completed her MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice at Oxford Brookes University in January 2024.
Throughout her career, Marie has worked in Paediatric Haematology/Oncology and Paediatric Intensive Care (ITU), gaining extensive experience in complex patient care.
In July 2024, Marie was appointed Chair of the Haemophilia Nursing Association (UK), where she leads a committee representing specialist nurses across the country. Marie is a passionate advocate for improving care for children with bleeding disorders and is keen to engage more in research in the near future. She is also committed to championing the role of advanced nursing practice in the UK, highlighting the expertise, skills, and value that advanced nurse practitioners bring to healthcare. Outside of work, Marie has a busy family life with her husband and three children. Motto in life: “If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it!
