Description
Johnny Mahlangu is a Professor of Haematology and the Academic Head of the Department of Molecular Medicine and Haematology in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand as well as the National Health Laboratory Service in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also Head of Clinical Haematology at the Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital. Johnny completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training in science and medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand, acquiring qualifications as a haematologist and clinical haematology sub-specialist through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. His primary area of research focuses on novel therapies for bleeding disorders, for which he has acted as Principal Investigator for many international multicentre studies.
